Métis Healthy Babies Healthy Children Program

Delivers a parenting support program and promotes child development

  • Offers pre-and post-natal screening and assessment, as well as workshops
  • Provides home visits, service coordination, and support for service integratio

Community Access Program

Community Tele-Psychiatry Program

 

Long-Term Care Program

Provides a variety of services to Metis individuals and their families who are in need of long-term care supports

Services provided are:
Aboriginal Support Services

  • Support individuals with information, referrals, advocacy, and access to other long-term care centres, such as Community Care Access Centres

Caregiver Support

  • Provides caregivers with referrals to other agencies that offer emotional support/counselling
  • Provides caregivers with information, education, and training

Friendly Visits/Security Checks

  • Arranges home visits to check on an individuals well-being, provide support and companionship
  • Offers security telephone calls to individuals

Transportation

  • Provides transportation to medical appointments

 

 

Métis Community Wellness Worker Program

 

 

Métis Nation of Ontario Employment and Training Program

Provides training to the Métis people of Ontario, with programs geared towards finding and keeping work or increasing career skills

Wage Subsidy

  • Provides on-the-job experience by paying employers part of an employees wages

Employability Program

  • Helps clients to develop skills that prepare them for the job market, including life skills, job readiness, literacy and upgrading classes

Training Purchases

  • Provides funding for individuals who require specialized training

Culture-Based Economic Development Grant

  • Supports arts and culture related careers and initiatives

Disabilities Support

  • Provides assistance to individuals with disabilities in their employment and education pursuits

Bursaries Program

  • Provide Métis students with financial assistance at various Colleges and Universities
  • Visit Metis Nation for information and location of schools

Summer Career Placement

  • Offers a wage subsidy program for Metis students seeking summer employment
